METALWORK DEPARTMENT

Metalwork is an exciting and creative department in which service users learn how to create items from mild steel including firepits, hanging baskets, gates, boot scrapers, bird feeders, furniture, signage and much more. Service users participate in the design, fabrication and finishing of items and are encouraged to create their own pieces. 

The department uses the full range of metalworking tools such as welders, plasma cutters, linishers, drill presses and grinders in a fully risk-assessed but risk-positive manner.
