ABOUT KEY ENTERPRISES

Founded in 1983, Key Enterprises is a long-established provider of day services to adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs or acquired brain injuries.

Through our work we create opportunities for new experiences, build social skills, create a sense of belonging and challenge the inherent isolation many of our service users experience. We provide practical and emotional support to service users and act as an anchor in their lives, providing the consistency that is essential to their ongoing well-being.

With an ethos of unlocking potential, we provide a positive environment in which the focus is on what can be achieved whilst overcoming challenges.

Based in Benton, North Tyneside we provide a range of work-based, social and creative opportunities to adults from across the region. Service users can choose to take part in:
• Woodwork
• Metalwork
• Bike repairs, sales and maintenance
• Community and allotment gardening
• Social activities
• Active pursuits
• Drama
• Art
• Cooking and bakery
• Independent living skills
• Music
• Trips and excursions

WHAT WE DO

UNLOCK YOUR POTENTIAL.

Key Enterprises primarily supports adult men and women with enduring mental health needs, learning disabilities and acquired brain injuries but also accepts referrals from those with other psychological impairments such as dementia where appropriate to do so. Service users can take part in a range of work-based and social activities within out 5 departments such as:

• bicycle recycling, maintenance and sales

• community, commercial and allotment gardening

• metalwork

• woodwork

• activities - this includes art, drama, cooking, active pursuits, trips and excursions (locally and regionally)

plus much more.
