Woodwork is divided into 2 work areas: a machine area and an assembly area.

All woodwork items are made to order and are designed and assembled in the department.

Two Supervisors oversee the work and implement accredited training within the section.

The woodwork team produce a variety of items from nesting boxes and wardrobes to garden benches and children's playhouses.

The woodwork department offers training of skills such as cabinet making, operating of woodworking machinery - (mortice machine, radial arm saw, planer), basic jointed frames and drawer construction.
