Information for Service Users
All Service Users attending Key Enterprises are issued with a clock card and must clock in and out of the building when attending.

You will receive a training allowance for attending Key Enterprises. Please talk to the Client Services Manager for further details. The allowance does not affect any benefits you receive from the DSS.
You will be reimbursed for your travel expenses to and from your home (at public transport rates).
Tea/Coffee and snaks and a two course meal are available every day ata a cost of £1.00 per day.
Key Enterprises operates a savings and loans scheme, which you can join after six weeks of attendance.
All costs of training expenses are met by Key Enterprises. Key Enterprises pays for and supplies you with any clothing or equipment you need for Health & Safety reasons.
Key Enterprises offers subsidised leisure activities.
Information for Referrers
Initial Referral
All Service Users attending Key Enterprises must be referred to Key Enterprises by their Care Coordinator / Key Worker / or Health Professional.
Informal Visit
Service Users and Care Coordinators are initially invited for an informal visit with the Client Services Manager at Key Enterprises. During this visit they can discuss the Service Users training, mental health and social / development needs.
Application Form
The Service User will be given an information pack about the service and application form. The application form needs to be completed by the Service User and the Referrer.
Taster Day
Service Users will be offered the opportunity to come back to Key for a taster day / session in the department of their choice.
Funding
The referrer will need to access funding through their statutory channels. The Client Services Manager will advise on current costs per day.
Paperwork
Key Enterprises need to receive a completed application form, a care plan, risk assessment and a copy of the authorisation of funding prior to the Service User beginning their placement.
Start Date
Once the above paperwork is returned to the Client Service Manager the Service User will be offered a start date, training area and allocated days of attendance.
Reviews
Key Enterprises become part of an individuals care package and the Client Services Manager will attend Care Coordination reviews. The Care Coordinator should inform Key Enterprises of review dates.
